The opening of the seven chakras, in sequence from the base up, is an excellent precusor to any magickal operation. It is acheived by a visualisation of energy being drawn up from the earth into each chakra in turn where it is transformed into that particular colour, a wonderful exercise in its own right and very beneficial. At the crown the white light is visualised coming up and out of the top of the head and disappearing into the infinite sky from where it pours back down into the body charging and energising all the chakras again.
